I sneezed 13 times in rapid succession this morning. Not just your little golf sneezes into closed hands mind you, but body wracking man-sneezes that sprayed spittle and sputum hither, thither and even yon. As I waited for my eyes to clear, I wondered if this is how God selects where a lightning bolt will strike during a thunderstorm, or if he intends that an occasional church steeple gets zapped along with a few unfortunate parishioners.

Way out there in the boonies, we would sometimes come across a clear flowing stream of cool water. It was so tempting to cup my hands in the clear water and quench my thirst after humping all that gear for 10 clicks (kilometers). It was 110 degrees, I was almost out of water and the resupply chopper was not due until the next morning.
